Double Denim for monster pike?

I'm going on an annual trip to fish for pike in northern Manitoba in early August. We usually have several pike 40 to 46 centimeters and feed actively. My friend works in a shop in front and suggested a double cowgirl musky bait. I paid my 26 Bucks (by far the most that I have spent on a lure) and obtained an absolute beast of a deception and black chartruse mail. I Curado 200 DPV retrieve reel with a 5.01 on a 7-foot rod heavy Med Santa Cruz provided up to 3 oz lures I use 50 # Pro power. Is my face for the cast and retrieve the beast 3 oz with double Colorado blades # 10? I know it's supposed to be great for musky but is too large pike using this thing? This is a # 5 RRI as a mosquito and took half of my box.

I believe this could be a good option as a musky fisherman understand why you want to convert your decoys. I think it's an exaggeration at all, and if I were in your situation, I would start to throw more bait in each category (and not only in line spinners.) My friends and I often catch large pike musky fishing so do not worry is outside the base of his tactics. Try to migrate your Spinnerbaits, Crankbaits and topwaters too. Besides the introduction of more material you may want to fish a little more too. Try to focus on the structure such as rock falls weedbeds that are adjacent to deeper water, or pelvis the main lake.
