Is there a pike or any other type of pike in North Carolina?

I always assumed that the pike were not so far south and Fisheries CN does not appear in the list of species of freshwater fish in North Carolina who is here. http://www.hrla.com/NCFish/fish.htm But in the bottom of this page, there is a link State records to freshwater and there is a record for a pike. I have a friend who thought he caught a pike in the mountains, but do not know.

I doubt it; do not occur naturally in the southern states, but it could have been stored in some small lakes.
