fly fishing flies size chart
Posted on Friday, December 26th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
Is my wife trying to kill my goldfish?
On returning home today my wife informed me she had fed 2 flies to the fish (I usually catch them myself wearing my straw hat). She had no recollection of the size (if too big you have to pull the wings off to stop choking), and had not de-winged them. How inconsiderate, stupid and dangerous. Anybody with an ounce of common sense knows not to do this.
We even have a small chart to determine size. I suspect she did it deliberately as what other reason could she have. Bit*h.
I am a fish breeder and your question is doing the same thing you are blaming your wife for not pulling the wings off wont hurt the fish heck does someone pull the wings off when fish in the wild eat them I think not
this question tells me your wife doesn’t need to make up reasions to bitch you give her enough reasions all by your self
you need to grow up and stop acting like eveything is about you
you should thank her for feeding your dam fish hell if I were her I would cook the dam thing up and feed it to you
you are a jerk and give real men a bad name

Basic Stream Flies $16.27 This softcover, spiral book contains 28 fly patterns that can be used to match most fishing situations. Each pattern includes information on what the fly imitates, and when, where, and how to fish it. These patterns were chosen not only for their ability to catch trout, but also to show the different types and styles of commonly used flies. To reduce the number of patterns needed, natural insects with similar body shapes or stages of development are grouped together, and one or two basic patterns that imitate the insects in each group are presented. Then by changing the size and or body color of the basic pattern, you can match all of the naturals in its group. With each basic pattern there is a photograph showing useful variations of the fly or a similar pattern. Each basic pattern is accompanied by instructions on how to tie it. If you are not a fly tier, most of the patterns or ones similar to them can be purchased from a fly shop. |

Tuna on the Fly $23.21 The ultimate guidebook to catching bluefin, yellowfin, and blackfin tuna, in all the hottest fishing spots. Perhaps the last great frontier of fly fishing is the catching of big, strong, fast offshore tuna species on a fly rod. These fish were the targets of such trophy fishermen as Zane Gray and were thought to be just too large to be handled on fly-fishing gear. That changed during the 1990s as anglers began to develop ways of targeting these fish when they were of a size that could be handled on fly tackle and these efforts were helped along with the development of a new generation of heavy-duty fly gear. Now, Tom Gilmore takes the reader into this exciting, new world. Gilmore explains the habits and behavior of the different species of tuna and identifies the areas where these fish can be found. He covers tackle, tactics, and important flies and knots to hold these blue-water beasts. 8 color pages, 40 black & white photographs, 10 maps, index. |
