Why Use baits for pike in the reservoirs?

I fish often and always leave big bass, but I can not to catch a pike. What appeals should I use? and in what colors?

Spinner baits, Husky Jerk, corridors of coral, even a drink of water will attract a higher pike, a large number of times they struck out to attract the aggression that has a lot of strike action in a muskellunge of any kind.
